Message to My Readers
My year plus in our Substack community has been, among many other feelings, most meaningful and satisfying. I want to thank you, the readers, for allowing that to be my reality. I have found acceptance and support among the writers and readers of Substack, and that is no small matter.
Recently, I have been thinking about the balance between publishing my weekly posts and the practices of personal reading and writing that make publishing the content possible. I feel that tending to my strong desire to create worthy and well-considered posts is diminishing my time to tend to my own creative pursuits. I am out of balance.
Therefore, I am sharing with you that I intend to take a pause until September to reflect on how I want to write posts going forward. I will be using August to explore a process that feels creatively satisfying and true to my values. Importantly, this balance must be sustainable.
I have paused paid subscription billing until September 3 so that no subscriber is charged while I am away.
I expect to return on September 3 with greater clarity and a set of goals that will propel my creative life forward, whatever form that eventually takes.
In the meantime, I will continue to make reading your writings and commenting on the issues a part of my day. I find sustenance and pleasure in doing so.
Thank you again to my subscribers and followers, to my readers of posts and notes, for your kind attention and encouraging responses.
Thank you for spending this time with me today, and, of course, may you...
Write and thrive,

As always, Robbin, you set a strong example for all of us by taking a "time out" to nurture your own writing life; really--what could be more important and satisfying than that? Blessings to you as you sit in the stillness of the vortex!
I went through a similar thing a few years ago with my podcast where I interviewed writers. It was incredibly fulfilling and fun, but also took a huge chunk of time and energy from my writing. I hope you have a relaxing August and look forward to reading more of your posts in September!
